Frequently asked questions about vehicle lettering with HOTIM
The answers follow the intended two-contract model. Changes require documented review and approval.
The role model in concrete answers
Every answer remains cautious until the partner, workshop, technical scope and privacy model are confirmed.
Who is my contact for vehicle design?
HOTIM provides consulting, concept development, design, design coordination and the agreed organisational project coordination.
Who produces and installs the vehicle lettering?
Technical inspection, manufacturing and installation are carried out by a legally independent specialist contractor qualified for the relevant work. These services are quoted and commissioned separately.
Do I contract with HOTIM or with the specialist contractor?
Under the planned model, you commission consulting, graphic concept, design and agreed coordination from HOTIM. Technical inspection, production and installation are commissioned separately from the contractor identified before the order.
Who sends the quotation and invoice?
HOTIM and the executing contractor issue separate quotations and invoices for their own services. Payments are made directly to the relevant contractual party.
Who inspects the vehicle, paint and surface?
The technical inspection and final approval for application rest exclusively with the executing specialist contractor.
Where will my vehicle be lettered?
The workshop, intake and handover locations are confirmed for the project in the executing contractor’s technical quotation. HOTIM can coordinate the organisational arrangements.
Who handles damage or defects?
HOTIM is the contact for consulting and design. The contractor is responsible under law and its separate contract for technical inspection, production, installation, removal and any vehicle damage caused by those operations.
Can HOTIM use my existing logo and corporate design?
Yes. HOTIM can adapt brand assets that you are entitled to use for the vehicle format. You must hold the necessary rights to logos, fonts and images.
Which files are needed?
A vector logo and graphics, corporate design guidelines and current vehicle photos are helpful. Number plates and unnecessary personal data should be obscured before upload.
How are my data and vehicle photos sent to a partner?
The enquiry first goes only to HOTIM through Formspree. Nothing is forwarded automatically. Data is sent to a fully identified contractor only at your express request and under the stated privacy conditions.
Which vehicle types can be handled?
HOTIM develops designs for company cars, vans, delivery vehicles and fleets. Additional vehicle types such as trucks, trailers or buses are assessed after technical inspection of the actual vehicle.
How is the cost calculated?
HOTIM prices consulting, design, graphic files and any agreed coordination. The contractor separately prices technical inspection, materials, production data, manufacturing, installation and possible removal.
How long does a project take?
Timing depends on the briefing, revisions, graphic and technical approvals, vehicle type, material availability and the contractor’s schedule. No blanket duration is promised.
How long does vehicle lettering last?
Durability depends on the film, print system, orientation, surface, weather, use and care. The contractor provides the technical assessment for the system actually selected.
Can the vinyl be removed later?
Professional removal is generally possible, but adhesive residue or paint issues cannot be ruled out regardless of the surface, refinishing, age and condition.
What applies to leased vehicles?
Before design and installation, have the lessor’s consent and return conditions checked. A blanket approval is not possible.
Clarify the project first. Then commission each responsibility properly.
Your enquiry is non-binding. HOTIM and the specialist contractor appointed later remain legally separate providers with separate quotations, contracts and invoices.
